OERF Recycling Initiatives

Higher demand

On average, houses within the enclosure are in demand and tend to sell more quickly than those outside it. As a community voice, the estate committee successfully stopped a brothel from opening under the guise of a guest house.

By contributing to OERF, you can help to prevent the domino effect of property prices from falling.

Lower crime levels

The number of serious crimes has dropped from an average of 14 per month to less than one per month. Visibility of security guards at the booms and a dedicated armed response vehicle from ADT Security act as a major crime deterrent. As the vehicle is already patrolling the area, it has an armed-response time of two minutes – 6 to 15 minutes quicker than the industry standard!

Neat and safe roads

The OERF committee successfully lobbied for the installation of speed bumps on St George’s Road. Slower traffic means safer roads, and a safer neighborhood.

The committee, together with a company in OERF and a few dedicated OERF residents, helps to maintain the suburb, including the St George’s Road verge and Louise Street islands.

So protect your turf inside the estate and join OERF today!

Monthly fees for joining are only R 605.00 per month per house. Pensioner-discounts apply.
